Padfoot Drum Compactor للبيع

What is a sheepsfoot roller used for?

A sheepsfoot roller is a drum compactor covered in protruding pads, or "feet," that knead and compact cohesive soils like clay and silt from the inside out rather than just pressing down on the surface. That makes it the right choice for landfill cover, dam and levee cores, and road subgrade work where the soil needs to be worked, not just flattened.

Is a sheepsfoot roller the same as a padfoot roller?

Yes — sheepsfoot roller and padfoot roller are two names for the same machine. "Sheepsfoot" is the traditional term going back to towed drum rollers, while "padfoot" is the name most commonly used for today's self-propelled and vibratory versions.

What should you check before buying a used sheepsfoot roller?

Inspect the pads or feet for cracking and excessive wear, check the drum shell for dents or weld repairs, test the vibratory mechanism on padfoot models for smooth operation, and compare the hour meter against service records before you bid.
